ACURA & LEXUS U.S MARKET SHARE
Japanese luxury brands U.S market share, LEXUS is the king.
Lexus overtook Acura in the mid 90's as the top japanese luxury brand American prefer. The Lexus was helped with the introduction of the LS 430 sedan with it's futuristic features that are now common in today's vehicle ad it also helped that it was reliable and less expansive compared to the German brands.On the other hand, Acura brand was also favorable to the younger demographic with it's sports car such as the Integra Type R, RSX Type S, TSX which was a sport sedan in Japan and Europe and the legendary NSX that also came in limited numbers as a Type R version. In the middle of 2000's Lexus introduced sports car for the brand and now goes head to head with Acura.
