MAZDA MIATA[MX-5] U.S SALES

The Mazda Miata or Mazda MX-5 as it's known in North America, made it's debut at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show as a sports roadster. The vehicle production is still in Hiroshima, Japan where it's fully assembled and keeping it's JDM roots. The small sports car is internally and externally designated with two letters found on the vin number by the company and it's followers. The generations are designated as NA(1989-1997), NB(1998-2004), NC(2005-2014) and ND1(2015-17)/ND2(2018-Pres). In 2016, Mazda marked it's 1 million MX-5 production with nearly half of them sold in the U.S. Below is a chart showing the sales of Mazda Miata for the past 30 yrs.
